EMDR Consultation That Builds Mastery
For EMDR-trained clinicians ready to build fidelity to the standard protocol and gain mastery over the EMDR approach. Wendy Sue is an EMDRIA-approved consultant, and the hours you log here count directly toward your EMDRIA certification requirements.
What EMDR Consultation Really Does
Basic training gives you the standard protocol. Consultation is where you gain mastery over it. The judgment, fidelity to the standard protocol, and knowing when and how to use it grows in consultation, not in training alone.
Good consultation is not just about logging hours toward certification. It is about building fidelity to the standard protocol, identifying your strengths and the areas where you are ready to stretch, and learning when to use standard protocol, when not to, and what to do instead. As an EMDRIA-approved consultant, Wendy Sue offers consultation hours that count toward EMDRIA certification requirements.
Why Clinicians Join Our EMDR Consultation
Fidelity and Mastery
Basic training gives you the standard protocol. Consultation is where you gain mastery over it. With real cases and real feedback, you build fidelity to the standard protocol and grow into the EMDR therapy approach as something you can use with confidence.
Strengths and Stretch
Good consultation does not treat everyone the same. We identify what you are already doing well and where you are ready to stretch. You leave knowing your own strengths and the specific areas of your EMDR practice that are ready to grow.
Knowing When to Use It
Most clinicians leave training with the standard protocol, but unsure when and how it actually fits. Consultation is where that judgment gets solid. You leave knowing when standard protocol is the right call, when it is not, and what to do instead, so you trust your own decisions in the room.
Learning From Your Work
A reprocessing session can move, stall, or go sideways, and it is not always obvious why. Consultation is where you learn to read what happened, what worked, what didn't, and what to do differently next time. That is how mastery actually grows.
Is This Consultation Right for You?
This is for clinicians who want more than hours on a log. Whether you are working toward EMDRIA certification or simply want to gain mastery over the standard protocol and use EMDR with more skill and fidelity, there is a place for you here.
This might be for you if:
You are working toward EMDRIA certification. You want stronger fidelity to the standard protocol. You want to gain mastery over the EMDR therapy approach. You are not always sure when to use standard protocol, or what to do instead.
Bring your questions about:
Bring a case you have been turning over in your mind. A client where you are not sure which memory to begin with, where readiness for reprocessing is unclear, where the standard protocol is not moving things the way you expected.
Bring the session you want to understand better: what worked, what didn't, and what to do next. That is the kind of thinking this consultation is built to hold.
You will leave with more clarity around:
You leave with more clarity around how to stay faithful to the standard protocol, how to read what is working in a session and what is not, and when to use standard protocol versus what to do instead. More than anything, you leave with more confidence and mastery in your own EMDR practice, not just the steps, but the judgment behind them.
