Meet Wendy Sue Horn

Clinician, EMDRIA-approved trainer, and consultant

Wendy Sue Horn, EMDRIA-approved EMDR trainer and consultant specializing in complex trauma, dissociation, adoption competence, and EMDR therapy.

Wendy Sue Horn is an EMDRIA-approved trainer, consultant, and Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than twenty years of clinical experience across private and public settings. She has spent over a decade teaching fellow clinicians, and is known for making EMDR clear, practical, and genuinely usable in the room.

Her approach is grounded and paced. She respects the expertise clinicians already bring, and rather than asking them to set it aside, she helps them sharpen it and build the fluency to use EMDR with confidence. Clinicians leave her training not just trained, but prepared.

She teaches and consults because she believes good training changes more than how you use a single modality. It changes how you understand every client you work with, from a clinician's first training through the consultation that turns competence into mastery.

Why This Work Matters to Wendy Sue

People make more sense when their full story is considered.

Trauma rarely shows up in just one part of a person's life. It shapes the body, relationships, identity, parenting, and the way people move through the world. That has been true for every client and every clinician she has worked with over the past twenty years.

EMDR Resource Center exists because that complexity deserves more than a surface-level response. Training and consultation are built for the cases clinicians are actually carrying, not just the straightforward ones.

The Kinds of Work That Require More Than Surface-Level Support

❋ Case Conceptualization

Knowing which memory to begin with, and how to plan treatment that holds up.

❋ Path to EMDRIA Certification

Consultation that supports certification, with or without it as your goal.

❋ Working Across the Lifespan

Adapting EMDR for adolescents and adults, a range many trainings leave out.

❋ Standard Protocol and Fidelity

Building genuine fluency with the eight phases and the judgment to use them well.

❋ Culturally Attuned Practice

Anti-oppressive, trauma-informed teaching woven through everything we do.
